Christmas 2009

Happy Christmas and a Prosperous New Year
Robert and Jane and all our staff would like to wish you a Happy Christmas and a great New Year 2010.  2009 turned out to be quite good for us, thank you. Let's hope 2010 is a happy and healthy one for us all.
We hope that all your plans for Christmas are going smoothly and we thought it might be time to take a moment out from the stress of preparing for Christmas to think about a little treat for the New Year!   Join us on one of our cookery courses or perhaps at our Fine Dining evening on 15 January 2010, we still have a few places available.
Perhaps the Christmas preparations are not going as smoothly as you might like.  Why not take advantage of our Christmas Home Delivery Service to save yourself some time?   It is not too late to book.  See our Christmas Fare Menu, which is also published on our website. Also still time to order the whole Christmas Lunch

We wish that all your celebrations in 2010 will be great and of course CCC Ltd be part of them!!
We are in the very fortunate position of having more confirmed bookings for next year than ever before so please secure dates with us early to avoid disappointment.

turkey in the raw
Tips of the Season and Recipe of the Month

Tired of turkey for Christmas? or want a change for New Year? Try one of Keith Floyds recipes for venison with creme de cassis.
Other game still in season is pheasant, serve with braised red cabbage.

Fish: Monkfish and SeaBass are both at their best in the cold months. Do make sure that you do not over cook them. Sea Bass goes well with fennel, garlic, olive oil and butter, either poached, steamed or roasted. One of our favourites is Sea Bass with spring onion and ginger, try it for a treat at your local Chinese restaurant....yummy.

Vegetables in season include Curly Kale, try pan frying for a different crispy veg, parsnips, pumpkins and of course brussel sprouts.
